At the HOA Annual Meeting on December 2, 2023, a quorum was present for all business except for the increase in the annual assessment. Any increase in an assessment requires a quorum of 60% of the membership of the HOA. Unfortunately, 60% of the membership did not attend the annual meeting, either in person or by proxy. Therefore, a special meeting is required at which the required quorum is now, per our governing documents, required to be only 30% of the membership. The Board confirmed with HOA counsel that this is the procedure we should follow to avoid any possible legal challenges.
The Board will be holding a special meeting for this purpose on January 9, 2024 at 6pm at the offices of Bridge Street Property Management (345 W 600 S, Heber City). Members may be present in person or may be present by proxy.
